South Maui Weather
With an average of 13 inches of rain per year, Kihei is Maui's sunshine capital with the most reliable weather on the island- it's often still sunny in Kihei when other areas are cloudy or rainy.Temperatures are usually warm and balmy year round with average January daytime temperatures around 81 degrees and July/August averaging about 88 degrees. Evening lows in January average about 63 degrees with the summer evening lows averaging 69 degrees.
December and January are the rainiest months, but still only average about 2.5 inches of rain each (not too bad for the "rainy" months)! May through August average less than 1/2 inch per month.
